I cannot say I ever got much comfort from pursuing my interest in astrology. Otherwise you were the one who said you can be all for it if it isn't harming anyone else. I am actially the last person eho would want to shove astrology down amyone's throat. However I won't just be actively dissed either for taking my interest in astrology beyond the most superficial interest.

"Car runs on road" is also simple but it doesn't explain how it acheives that result (ie the mechanics boiled down to a level everyone can understand) which is the equivalent level of what I wish to know.

I actually don't bother with astrology much these days, though I do pay attention to what is happening in rhe heavens. Bit like tuning into the weathet.

Oh don't get me wrong if you have a belief in something and it gives you comfort and isn't harming anyone then I'm all for it, I just don't and may never see how or why it should apply to me.

Well I certainly don't have much time for sun-sign columns. However I suspect that most people will notice something if Saturn or an outer planet transits the exact degree of your nstal Sun or for that matter another dominant planet in your chart.

Jung just looked for acausal csuses to account for it. And when you consider the size of the nucleus in relation to the size of the space withon the atom, then the distance in relation to the planets in relation to us lessens. 

But my beef with astroligy is more to do with the way it is used rather than anything else.

But how does that mean anything on an individual level to millions of people born at teh same time who will all have very different days. It's just guessing something will happen based on things that have absolutely no direct causal effect on human beings on earth.

Actually,allegedly a lot of work goes into the things. You look at where new and full moons fall and what the other planets in the solar system are doing, and what angular relationships exist between the planets, and what similar relationships might be hitting your Sun. You looknto see whther any of thr planets are going retrograde, that is moving backwards in tje heavens. That's already a lot to be getting on with.

I wanna know exactly how they get these messages "from the stars" because it always sounds like they just hit the button on a random bs generator. XD

May 16, 2023 - Just shut up about bloody fruit loaf, for Christ's sake.

I don't read my sun sign horoscope. But I do have an app that shows what is in the heavens. Transit Mercury, post retrograde, is opposing my natal Neptune but more importantly, transit Uranus is almost slap-bang conjunct natal Mars in Taurus. Bit late in the term to get fired from anywhere, hopefully. Last year when Saturn was stationary squaring my Mars the summer was like being besieged as the government in its wisdom decided to scrap a system where small businesses could pay a flat rate of taxes and contributions monthly, instead of being bled dry. My accountants recommended I close down my old business and start a new one. Now I can no longer invoice other businesses, so that will drive thousands into working by the light of the silvery moon. Or just  have individual contracts. 

But after all ours is nit to reason why.

On the last transit Saturn square's exactitude I coughed and swallowed a dorotricun pill the wrong way whilst teaching a fairly rambunctuous class and some good fun was had by all. Luckily I did live to tell the tale.

Being so close to retirement anyway it's nore a question of seeing my last official working period through now anyway. I'd love to get that bit further off the treadmill.Yes my third transit Uranus Uranus square was last year too. That comes round at about 63.
