What were you like as a child?

Have you changed much? Not just in appearence but your personality at well, food preferences?

I haven't changed much. Lol. I'm still little, still childish, still spooked by adults and strangers. I still like toys. I look youthful, like I'm in my early teens still. Food wise I'm still like a kid I like all the sweet stuff.

I'm in my twenties now but honestly I am still like I was when I was a kid just I don't go to school now.

  • I was a very quiet child, pre school was when I started to struggle, playtime was my introduction into being different and bewildered. It was day one of the mask. I’ve said before, psychologists spend hours deciding if we are autistic, the  playground bullies work it out in about ten minutes. I never played with other children, school holidays were always spent on my own, I wouldn’t see another child for the whole of any holiday and I didn’t miss them. I had my world, boys should chase a football, why?  I had  Lego and  Meccano plus some of the best 70’s and 80’s TV in the world., struggling still in the adult world, a brilliant quote I heard this week, “ You call it unmasking, I call it having unprotected autism.” It just made sense!

This is me trying not  to be photographed in a booth on The Isle of  Wight , what I notice is my mother was determined to keep smiling, bless her , Meltdown, small space, being held and a flashing light.
