Hospitals

I hate hospital. They're loud, way too bright and much too busy for my liking. Oh, and they also make them extremely difficult to navigate so I'm always getting lost on one floor or another.

Another issue I find is that where I live they closed all the emergency departments and have opened just one "super hospital" to cope with the load, despite the fact that the ones they closed used to buckle under the pressure...

I live in South Wales and was fortunate enough to live right next to the Nevill Hall Hospital but since the Grange opened in Cwmbran in 2020 the Nevill Hall only does minor injuries now.

It's so frustrating because it's there, all the wards and equipment but emergencies aren't accepted.

I'm thinking of writing to my local mp as this is crazy. It's literally a matter of life and death for a lot of people, some probably have died because they had to go further to hospital. Surely that's manslaughter?

I had to take my wife on Tuesday Evening who has an appendix problem, Nevill Hall refused to see her so I had to drive to Cwmbran with her in agony, crying and vomiting.

We finally got there, signed in and found well over 100 people waiting in the hot small waiting room in which we waited until gone six on Wednesday morning...

I avoided a meltdown myself. It could have all been avoided if they had the A&E reopened.

I will write to my MP because this is ridiculous.

I hate hospitals!
