....aka Battle Of The Borage
There have been rumblings for the past week or so but I thought now would be as good a time as any to get the show started. Today I sowed between 16 and 20 seeds.
I thought it might be nice for any members who want to join in to sow borage seeds and chat about it. We all know bees and pollinators need a helping hand and this is a lovely plant we can have in our gardens to help. The flowers are pretty star shaped blue, sometimes pink or purple. You can eat the flowers or put in ice cubes and you can use the leaves to make borage fertiliser for the garden.
I thought it might be a nice way to unite online friends by doing something remote in real life.
It does self seed so I take no responsibility if you end up with more next year! The more the merrier. Apologies if you have no outdoor space. Maybe do a bit of guerilla gardening if you can
This post was inspired by Jamie (who I cannot tag for some reason) and Number
So lets help our wildlife!

Sniggering! Moi..!?
I'm impressed with the bee holes!! That's exciting! Is that where they have been hibernating or are they new nests?
........although today, I could just see 3 little green helmets taking the weight of their last little bit of earth....by the end of the week, I suspect I'll have circa 25 little Bor-bors poking up to say hello.
And thankfully, I obviously already provide something that they like on my patch, because the borage currently looks like this.........
And here is one of the little fellas (I presume - although not seen entering/exiting any of the holes.)
P L E A S E ........... C O M E M A R V E L A T M Y B E E H O L E S !
[Out_of_Step......we can all hear you sniggering in the back there - now STOP IT. ]
That would be good. I was looking at wooden trough planters last night so might get one of those
I'm thinking I might have a square of borage rather than interplanting
I have more than i know what to do with too haha.....i'll sort something out....pots or a new planter of some kind
I've got around 8 seedlings popping up and have transplanted 7 into pots that had seeded around the garden. I don't quite know where I'm going to put them all eventually but I'll find space!
Yep - definitely worthy of that promotion.
Oh he's a good looking one!
This solider looks particularly strong and has obvious leadership qualities so i'm promoting him to lieutenant!
Yes it is a bit odd but I'm not having that one myself! Haha. You might do though. I've heard of that film...curious but I'm not very good with romantic films!
I fell in love with her when I watched a romcom called "Serendipity" over 20 years ago.
I can recommend the film to anyone who has an interest in coincidence, Jungian sycronicity and other such related "weird" stuff....that's basically the whole point of that film.
Some might say that it is weird that this matter has arisen today, in a thread about Borage?
She certainly is!
A VERY beautiful English actress....who has made it big in Hollywood.
Ohh I thought someone said Porridge!
I don't know who she is!
Like it!
Fun fact, the chap on the far right is Kate Beckinsale's dad.
Well I'm Aut......... (oh no.....existential and metaphorical crisis....I might not be allowed to use the word....I'm going to bed instead)
