Audiobooks

Recently I've gotten in to audiobooks. I was never particularly interested but then my wife got in to them and now I am as well. I love a good book, the feel and smell, it's a reading experience which can't really be beaten in my opinion but nowadays this fatigue I experience is out this world and really tires me out. Within a short time I'm exhausted and get dizzy reading, so it's a no brainer doing audiobooks for me.

I do still miss a proper book but with my headphones on and eyes closed I'm able to enjoy hearing a book more than reading one now.

Does anyone else find this?

  • I’ve found a whole new world in audiobooks, I have always struggled with reading, I can read the same paragraph 5 times and can’t process it. Noise cancelling earphones and  a good audiobook are brilliant, some of the people reading the books are really good at different voices. Something I have noticed is if they describe a character, I can only picture them as a person who actually exists in real life.

  • I get that sometimes. I find reading in small bursts where I take breaks stops this from happening. Also happens more when I'm tired, like after a day at school.

If you still want to try reading then give reading a little at a time a go. I find this helps me.
