Hi,
Someone just said to me "I will literally die if I didn't receive this very important email today".
I get it, they meant that it will very much upset them but it still bugged me.. not because they said that it will be so devastating and compared it to dying, but because they included the word "literally".. because it makes no sense!
They will literally not die, they will just be very upset, it might feel (to them anyway) that they are dying, but they will not actually drop dead!
I am always struggling to let it go in my head, even though I know they are silly and not paying attention to what they say.
Won't life be so much easier if people actually said what they meant to say properly and with intent.. literally!?
That was a rhetorical question, I am just venting!
Thanks.
