Just some simple advice is needed please

This has taken me ages to write as I often go off on a tangent so have had to delete a few times Joy I’ve read through some of the posts and I’m hoping someone from this community can help point me in the right direction. Please bare with me on this…

I was 38 at the time I was diagnosed with ASD in 2018 and have since been left on my own with my 2kids with no support from any agencies  my eldest (17) is ASD&ADHD & my youngest (10) has suspected ADHD.. my youngest is currently being assessed at school before they will refer her to the correct pathway

At the moment I am in the midst of a depression episode(I was diagnosed with depression in my late teens) and there are a few reason for this and then include, my sons mental health, my housing situation, my own mental health and the concerns I have about being a genuinCryy *** parent and how I am in desperate need of support. I  have a social worker for the children but I have no one for myself and I don’t know where to go or who to ask. I just want help and supporCryto be the best version of myself. Currently I am in a very dark place with occasional thoughts of suicide but I don’t think I would act upon theses as I’m scared to die but I’m the same breath I donCry want to live CryCryCry  I look forward to hearing from all you lovely people soon

  • HealthyMinds- that I have worked with- offer support workers to clients. It would be a -Level 4 Neighbour Invention Team (or a variation of that title).

You need to take time to enjoy your special interests, in order to be positive and mindful, I can appreciate that it’s harder than it sounds. It may not seem like targeted advice but depressive attacks are a waiting game. If it’s too much SEEK professional HELP outside of your own head.

Remember that depressive attacks will pass. You’d do well to find a trusted contact/s to help distract you in intense moments (if nothing else, vent/distract/enquire here), try not to h*rm yourself, it will pass. Keep posting if it’s distracted you.. it will pass..

  • If you have a contact on your local mh team from a previous referral that. If not GP. I understand if you're not comfortable doing GP in which case I recommend maybe trying IAPT (google your area and IAPT to find your local number).

If you are actively feeling suicidal, 111 option 2 if that's an option in your area, 111 and say it's about mental health when asked if not. If you feel you can't keep yourself safe, 999.
