Sparkly's Lousy Memory

This is really bugging me...

When I was a very young child, I had been read a story about a man with a hammer. The only thing I can remember is that the sound of the man hammering was, "Bim-bam, bim-bam". Whatever the title of the book was I have long since forgotten.

The story had obviously made something of an impression on me. After visiting my grandad who had been hammering, I then spent the next few years referring to him as 'Grandad Bim-bam'.

I just wish I could remember the title of the book.

  • Well that's just *great*. In participating in this wild goose chase, I've just sat through a long video of a children's song in the vain hope of solving the mystery. Now my Youtube suggestions will be full of Wheels on the Bus-style warbling, instead of the usual My Poxy Valentine's latest 'hits'.

Thanks a bim-bam bunch, Your Travesty!
