This weeks Film Starts a Half an hour earlier.

I've been asked to start earlier so this week it starts at 19:30Hrs sharp. (Ish)

This week is one of my favourite films, being "Galaxy Quest"

It's a simple idea really, "socialising for the unsocial". You can sit in your own space with your own things around you and watch a carefully selected ASD friendly (E&OE)  film with a bunch of strangers using zoom.

You don't have to share your video, you don't have to talk, just enjoy the film. About as "safe a space" as you can get.

Cheapo Zoom such as I use, runs in 40 minute sections, so there are adequate break periods, but we like to keep them short, otherwise it goes on a bit.

I've been amazingly poorly subscribed, but I'm going to keep doing it anyway, because it's giving some pleasure to at least one person who isn't me per week, and It might catch on at some point.

  • Spergs, Aspies and Numbers should only give up when all reasonable avenues have been explored.  I do not think that is the case with your idea yet - it has legs, potentially.

I think you need to alter timings - I for one, was enjoying my crackling and sprouts at your kick-off, but a Wednesday night would be a whole different affair - perhaps your potential audience would similarly find alternative timings better........I've noted that many of us keep ridiculously stupid hours, so a late, late night showing might be better?

In addition to potential tweaking to timings, I am absolutely certain that you need to spread the word and the technical know-how further, wider and louder.

Anyway, these are not matters for tonight sir, other pressing issues are afoot at the homestead.

Don't be too deflated - I still think your idea has legs, it just needs some further development and market research.

    Till tomorrow, brave Sperg.
