Worst name for a band?

'The Band'? Once Bob Dylan's band. An imagination failure of a name if ever there was one.

One of the all-time greats. Their name was attempted humour, due to their association with Dylan.

But, hey, each to their own. 

Great band, I agree. Levon Helm could sing and play drums at the same time, probably only equalled by Tony Bozzio of The Mothers. But the name is not great. I thought that your question was about names as such, not how good a band was?
