Are Jaffa Cakes, Cakes or biscuits? This is the question of the century!

If Jaffa cakes are cakes then why do they sell them in the biscuit aisle and not the cake aisle?

That is so annoying and and enigma.

Also if tomatoes are a fruit why do they get placed among the veg aisle in a shop?

The world is a crazy place.

NTS rule that world. hmmmmm

  • I remember seeing something on the news years and years ago. Can't remember now whether it was jaffa cakes or some other biscuit maker. But when VAT first come out you had to pay it on cakes, but not on sweets, or something like that. So this company took the Govt to Court to say they were making and selling VAT free stuff. Can't remember now if they won or not.
