Hello my  little boy has been diagnosed with ADHD and autism he is 8 years old 

He's is really struggling with most things can't get him to eat or go out  etc 

He seems to like school but when he does certain or new activitys he really doesn't like change,when I pick him up from school he is in some state ,bites all his nails and all the skin round his nails and can't sleep with worry about going back in to school 

The school called me up and said he must take part in this activity he can't pick and choose what he wants 

I was spoken to in a horrible manner and it was really unacceptable they have all my  boys diagnosis etc and letters from the paedtrition

    Your boy is perfectly normal, I don't see anything I didn't do his age. Nail biting is stimming, probably in result of bullying at school, hence his ab sent state after schhol when you pick him up, he has a lot bad feelings to process, and no safe spot to do it. Don't force him to make choices, because if he relents it won't be his choice and you won't know about it. I started eating when I was 10y.o. and started growing up. until than, porridge twice a day, a bit of chicken breast cooked on Sunday, so your son is doing his equivalent of that. School needs to acknowledge inclusivity, just because everyone does, it doesn't mean your son has too as well.
