Do you hear sounds that aren't there ?

I've been reading all the replies to my 'dreams' thread, and something else i thought of was, i may have asked this before, does anyone hear noises that aren't there. A bit like tinitus, like music or someone singing, although it sounds more like whailing. In  the past i've heard the sound  which i thought was horses and soldiers, as if Robin Hood or the Battle of the Roses, and the cobbled streets. This has seemed so real i got up out of bed and looked out of the window. There was nothing there and i went to our local librabry to see did they have any records of what was on the land, perhaps 100s of years ago, before the houses were built. The only records showed fields and farms, no battles.

  • Your post reminded me of the most realistic sound I heard, that was trying to make you feel like it was made up inside your head, but it wasn't.

I watched movie The Ring, and there was that moment when fly crawling on a TV screen buzzing while it does so flips sides from inside to outside, your mind is telling you that what you see is impossible, while what you hear sounds most real
