Do you hear sounds that aren't there ?

I've been reading all the replies to my 'dreams' thread, and something else i thought of was, i may have asked this before, does anyone hear noises that aren't there. A bit like tinitus, like music or someone singing, although it sounds more like whailing. In  the past i've heard the sound  which i thought was horses and soldiers, as if Robin Hood or the Battle of the Roses, and the cobbled streets. This has seemed so real i got up out of bed and looked out of the window. There was nothing there and i went to our local librabry to see did they have any records of what was on the land, perhaps 100s of years ago, before the houses were built. The only records showed fields and farms, no battles.

  • I think it could be something I call 'spontaneous imagination', and because it's always something unexpected you thought the source is outside. Say hello to Alice, once you get rid of fear of it. One more thing, it's quite possible hearing is one of your senses that's more sensitive than others. For me it's seeing, and smelling. I have many crazy theories why it might happen, one more crazy than the other Stuck out tongue Don't worry after 43years I'm still sane, at least I hope so. Smiley
