Do you ever dream ?

I'm just sitting here on the couch at home. I must have dozed off and was thinking i'd gone to have a haircut. The barber was cutting someone elses hair, and i was the only one waiting, until an old man came in and sat next next to me. We spoke to each other for a few minutes, just passing the time of day. When the barber finished his customer and was getting paid, he looked over to me and pointed to the barbers chair. I said to the old man 'my turn', i stood up and took two steps across the room before i realised i was in my own lounge, i turned around to look at the old man i'd been talking to, and he wasn't there.

  •  Bizarrely, I forget 99% of my dreams within minutes. So here's something only loosely connected instead:

    A True Story for Cat-Lovers ~

A neighbour of mine apparently had a mania about cats; specifically, other people's cats roaming his garden. I can't remember how I heard about this obsession, as I've never even spoken to him (perhaps because, tragically for me, I don't have any pets). Anyway, on the rare occasions when I braved the outside world from the safety of my bedroom window, he could be seen patrolling his tiny and loveless garden while wearing a white vest, as if he'd embraced his role as an enemy of cats by wearing a uniform of clichéd misogyny (I'm mad, it's true, but I always feel that men who hate cats somehow view them as being female).

Anyway part 2: I dreamt that this man built a high fence in order to fend off the Invasion of the Cats. /dream ends

*In real life* some weeks later the stooopid twit actually began to construct a stooopid wall around his stooopid garden (observant readers might detect that I'm subtly biased towards cats). This went on for *ages*, accompanied by the dull roaring of a cement mixer and assorted swear-words and yelps. Eventually, his pleasuredome was erect.

Within the day, six(!) cats sat and laid atop his gigantic, precious wall, slowly swishing their tails as if to mock him. Biding their time until they escaped into Colditz yet again. This was the most amusing thing I've ever seen. In time, this monument to a moron began to crumble. Nothing beside remains. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare, the lone and level sands stretch far away...

    TL;DR version: Cats 1 Twit 0.

  • Your writing is beautiful ^^

  • Helloooooo. Slight smile

I really hope you're feeling alright.

Incidentally, all the stuff about the making of the concrete wall & the cats' revenge *actually happened* !!!

PS There's no rush to respond. Please rest. Slight smile

  • That's really cute! Mine miaowed in her sleep the other week.

  • I know something my cat dreams of. Most cats when they dream and twitch, it's their legs, like they are running. My cat, he loves to eat, when he dreams his mouth twitches like he's eating!
