Do you ever dream ?

I'm just sitting here on the couch at home. I must have dozed off and was thinking i'd gone to have a haircut. The barber was cutting someone elses hair, and i was the only one waiting, until an old man came in and sat next next to me. We spoke to each other for a few minutes, just passing the time of day. When the barber finished his customer and was getting paid, he looked over to me and pointed to the barbers chair. I said to the old man 'my turn', i stood up and took two steps across the room before i realised i was in my own lounge, i turned around to look at the old man i'd been talking to, and he wasn't there.

  • I sometimes have really cool dreams with interesting story lines or detailed locations, like the one recently where I was visiting this old professor type chap who lived in a cross between a castle and a library, his floor was lined with book covers and he had a pipe organ disguised as a book case.

Sometimes they are less fun, the recurring anxiety elements like trying to pack too much stuff into a too small container running out of time and the more I pack the more there is to pack. One time that one was that I was running away from being married to Ghengis Khan. Or the scary stairs and lifts - 20 floors up and having to leap a gap of 5 feet to land on a 2 foot square platform that then plummets far too fast and crouched clinging to it - until I remember I can actually fly...

Or the toilets. Searching for the toilet and if I find one there's something wrong with it, like its on a stage, or actually is just a sofa, or is just a cubicle with no actual toilet in. The best toilet hunting dream ever though was that I asked a guy where the nearest toilet was and he said the nearest toilet is if you wake up and use the one in your house!!

I like dreams, I can even remember a couple from when I was in infant school.
