I really want to start crocheting does anyone else do it? Do you like it? Was it easy to learn?

I wouldn’t say I’m one to give up easily but I am one to get stupidly frustrated in a very short amount of time it’s just seems so calming and I’d like to do it. I used to finger knit but I was like 10 and I’m 22 now but I never got very far with it. Yeah that makes sense is you can follow along I guess and see what they are doing. I used to do those little cross stitch’s from the crafts shops (Hobbycraft ect) and I really enjoyed them I’d sit and do them for weeks
Thank you :) they're quite easy to make once you get the hang of it!! They're probably the easiest thing to start making animal wise except for maybe a bee as a bee (except for the wings) is single crochet only but I love dinosaurs too tbh so if I find a relatively easy pattern and make one I'll post a pic and tell you whether it was tricky or not!! It all just takes practise
I highly recommend it! I started last august with simple things like single crochet projects and now I make a lot of toys (mostly whales but I have made bees and ghosts!) It's easy to correct if you make a mistake and there are videos on YouTube although personally I find it easiest to watch a video of something doing a stitch to learn it but then use written instructions if that makes any sense? The only issue really is wool can be expensive but it depends what brand you buy and local stores near you may be cheaper if you feel comfortable going in? It's always good to try things like I'm so glad I did I never thought I'd be able to do stuff like this I'm not artistic at all!!

I knit and crochet. I once made a knitted jacket/cardigan, but it did take a long while.
I like the fact that if I make a mistake, unlike knitting I don't have lots of stitches to pick up and it grows quickly. As someone else said it does take a bit more concentration and when I have made larger things it gets heavy.
With rows I find it harder than knitting to keep them straight, but some projects go around rather than rows. I think the finished articles can look more attractive than knitting, so worth persevering with.
Thank you so much!
That’s really cute. And looks like good quality work
I like crocheting, you have to be very focused on counting the stitches but once I got the initial hang of it I’ve never forgotten how to do, it even if I take very long gaps between projects
This is the stocking I made:

Yes I crochet! I absolutely love it. It is so relaxing, it helps me unwind and helps me anxiety. It is also so rewarding as you can create so many different things. It is fairly easy to learn if you dedicate time to it and don’t give up too easily. There are a lot of YouTube videos to help you learn. I found these a lot easier compared to reading about how to crochet (if that makes sense).
I have made all sorts of things … 3D animals, blankets, hanging decorations, and recently made a Christmas stocking (I will be making 3 more, I’ll likely start the next one tomorrow). If you have any other questions let me know!
