Nursery *update*

My meeting with the head of the group is on Monday - so that gives me plenty of time to write down everything I need to say/do/and ask. I'm hoping I can keep my anxiety in check, though strangely I'm not feeling anxious about it at all yet.

I feel more excited :)

It was meant to be this week but it's been moved back, never mind at least I know for sure now.

Downside is I still don't have my voice back fully. It's all croaky and gross :/ but there's still time for it to return over the week and weekend.

Very happy at the moment and looking forward to seeing what comes of this ^^

  • It is, or was, used in the North of England as well. It is really the more correct form linguistically, as 'children' is a double plural. In Old English one child was cild , two or more were cildru  with a plural ending -ru. The /r/ of this has remained, but an additional -(e)n plural has been added on the end. The c in cild was pronounced like a modern 'ch'.
