Volunteering

Today I took a big step and got an application form for volunteering in a charity shop. I've made it clear I'll only do a few hours one day a week and the lady said she was ok with that so I'm pleased with that and am really excited about this. It could be a really positive thing for me :) has anyone ever done volunteering? Just wondering if you have any tips for me I'm very excited. It'll be nice to get out and do something even if it is just once a week, and, it'll feel good doing stuff for charity :)

yes good if you do are volunteering. Also good to choose something that suits and and paced. I have volunteered for lots of my life. Only very part time but it adds up in the sense of doing stuff. I have delivered furniture, pushed wheelchairs, Samaritans, campaign for MIND. Tutored old people digital skills. Usually say a couple of hours twice a week. Recently helped out with an Autism awareness course. Also led to getting to know people.
