'Manscape' by Wire. Just listened to it again after a few years. It's typically cynical if you know their stuff, full of oblique references mostly to greed, power, organised society, corruption, etc. I think they were partly inspired by the fall of the Berlin Wall and collapse of communism in some countries. Too many pertinent lines to mention - "the silent ones waiting for decisions" is one in particular though. Sat there listening to it close to tears. How far our society has fallen, especially in recent times.

I’d never heard that. Love that it sounds like it’s unapologetically taking the 80s sound beyond the confines of the decade. I noticed a little sound effect in there that I think may have been pinched or sampled by Basement Jaxx later
