My Kekistani experience...

A while back I mentioned Kekistan here and it did not go down well... Some people say that Kekistan is some how "right wing" and that Pepe the frog is a symbol of hatred.

Which is quite amazing really, you only have to do a fairly shallow dive into the history of the movement to realise that is patently untrue.

So if I may offer the reader an education into the true origins of Kekistan as far as I have been able to determine, where we will learn that that at worst Pepe represents gentle mockery of the great evils that currently oppress all off us, (including partisan and divisive politics) and was in fact a creation by Autists and is a striking metaphor for the situation in which many of us find ourselves.

I will apologise for the lack of references, at the time I studies kekistan I did not think it was of any real importance, just a bit of amusing internet sillyness, until it suddenly started getting noticed in the real world...

It all started (I am told) on a website by the name of 4chan, which is reputed to be populated by Autists from around the world. Now as near as I can tell, us Autists come in two flavours as far as the internet (and normie majority who infest it) comes, either the silent majority, (just look at how few of us post here) or "omigod look at how much that 'sperg has written today! Will he ever give it a rest?" Well, a self identification process occurred where a bunch of fairly bright, somewhat marginalised people rather mischieveously formed a self identity, the disparate nation of Kekistan!

So strong was their feeling of nationhood and so devastatingly humourous was their outlook that Kekistan has actually obtained some minor international legal recognition in the past!

Some autistic people have a lot to say, and "memes" really work for them, so the ethnic Kekistani "meme farmer" meme quickly expanded.

I fell in love with the concept JUST as it hit it's peak. Now you have to remember that Kekistanis are by their nature an inherently peaceful, productive but deeply unsocial people (hence the diaspora) and frankly, the whole thing was all about poking a bit of fun at the normie oppressors, and reminding each other that we were't alone in our wish to be left alone. Etc.

Then an orange man won an election over the pond that he wasn't supposed to win, (Hillary had Lady De Rothschild in her camp at the time, it was supposed to be hers!) and they started looking for someone to blame...

At least that's how I got the story. It was a uniquely Autistic way to build a grassroots rebellion of sorts, (more of a mockery and exposure of the ridiculousness of our oppressors) and guerilla cells of kekistani meem farmers are to this day churning out and releasing memes of mass distraction, that everyone gets to see at some point.

To anyone out there who has played the Steve Jackson Game "Illuminati" the state of Kekistan cannot fail to be a source of great amusement.

Shadilay,my friends!

  • aye the entire crypto market is basically propped up and based on a similar thing, on making a idea and planting it in peoples heads and it becoming reality and self fulfilling prophecy... it only goes up in price because of the so called halving every 4 years, but thats only because they made people believe it goes up in price after a halving and thus people buy in and it does go up due to them buying in because they were made to believe it would go up. but it doesnt go up due to anything aside from them buying in lol

  • and kek is supposedly the polish equivalent of lol/laugh out loud or something... it apparently was used in world of warcraft alot by polish players or something and it spread... obviously spreading from that to 4 chan then ofcourse the kekistan and pepe thing was made from 4chan.

Well I am not sure about Polish side of things there ~  would know though, but otherwise yes; according to the following information:

"Kek", from "kekeke"/"ㅋㅋㅋ", a Korean onomatopoeia of laughter used similarly to "LOL", is the Korean equivalent of the English "haha". Since this is often used in StarCraft matches, Blizzard, Starcraft’s developers, decided to reference it in World of Warcraft (2004): when a player of the Horde faction types "lol" using the /say messaging command, members of the opposing faction see it as "kek". A common misconception is that "kek" originated as a variation of "lel", itself a variation of "lol".

also funny to note all these different genders we see now and identifying as things... that originated from 4chan too and was at first a joke until the media fell for it and took it for a real thing and marxists then took it and tried to virtue signal to it then it became a real thing... but it was just a 4chan joke to begin with to mock those people...then it became real....

Gender diversity and identification has been on the go since at very least before the historically recoded sense ~ involving everything from cross-dressing to eunuchs, with for example the following article being the first that came up stating:

A (Very) Brief History of Transgenderism

Transgenderism and gender non-conformity has, throughout time, taken on many different guises and forms. Examples of this include androgynous Ancient Egyptian gods, male Japanese actors during the Edo period playing female characters or Native American tribes having ‘third-gender’ roles, most notably Navajo nádleehi or Zuni lhamana. Transgenderism alongside other forms of gender non-conformity has a long past and can be found not only dotted through time but dotted across the globe.

Across Europe there are examples of transgenderism to be found, starting at the Vikings, passing through early modern Europe before continuing to the present day. Norse mythology, similar to that of Ancient Egypt, saw Loki and Odin have distinctly genderfluid roles; Odin was proficient in the apparently effeminate seiðr magic, and different stories portray both Loki and Odin as women. Dramatisations of Viking life on TV and film presents distinct gender norms, with men being muscular and full of bravado, but real Viking conceptions of gender was not as set in stone as this would suggest.

Early modern Western Europe, including but not exclusive to France and Spain, saw people write about overtly gender non-conforming themes. A 1322 French poem by Kalonymus ben Kalonymus contained evidently gender dysphoric feelings; he laments at being created a man and wishes to be female. There are several examples of 16th Century Spanish girls growing up and taking on male identities, for example Antonio de Erauso née Catalina, who went on to fight a a mercenary in the Arauco War (1536-1810) in modern day Chile. Gender non-conformity was therefore prevalent in Europe, but this is not to say that it was not also ubiquitous in other parts of the world

and they started doing that with lots of other stuff which in turn became a saying of "the meme magic is real" or something, in which they make riidiculous things up then it becomes real by ridiculous people they are mocking thinking its real and making a real thing out of it. giving them the idea that their memes are magic and can bend reality.

Well your perception of historical reality was somewhat distorted in that 4chan was established in 2003, whilst gender diversity and identification historically goes way back through the ages ~ what with there being masculine, feminine and androgyne genders and sexes ~ with however many variations in between, just as the saying goes that ‘Once you have met one person with autism; you have met one person with autism’ ~ in respect of neurological diversity, as compared with neurologically typical (relatively normal) people, and atypical (relatively eccentric) people, who are also in their own way particularly unique.

When it comes to memes though being able to influence the course of people’s feelings, thoughts and actions, and therefore reality, they can sometimes make quite difference.

  • This, I remember shaping my impression of what Kekistan was about.

    kekistanreborn.fandom.com/.../Kekistan

Way too many logical dichotomies and historical inconsistencies for me ~ and what with all that antagonistic socio-political ‘trash-posting’ business ~ it just polarises the soul and empowers the serpent in a disempowering way; i.e., the vitalisation of the spiritual sole fades, and the enervation of the elemental Id results as the fight for another source of life increases ~ or at least the fight for an inferior quality of life involving inferior, mediocre and superior character pretences, as are socially shared and antisocially enforced to affirm the 'survival of the elitist delusion', rather than of course anybody’s ‘actual’ individuality!

'Adversarialism' is just so very much not my thing.

I am way more an Autopia type ~ as prefers to imagine and embody what I would like more to be the case ~ in terms of socio-political collaboration; and technological development.

i think the kek thing is mostly originated from laugh out loud. the whole pepe the frog thing and winding up those easily wound up on the left was a laugh out loud kinda thing hence why they used kek.

  • Here is a picture of the Kekistani flag and obviously associated protesters ~ at the Capitol Hill riot where Donald Trump's far-right supporters stormed Congress on 6th of January, in attempt to prevent the certification of Joe Biden's election victory, with the history of the Kekistan flag explained below it, according to one source being interviewed:

This flag first began to appear in 2017 and it isi a symbol for those who are part of a fictional sect who worship Kek, the ancient Egyptian deity of darkness.

The green, white and black flag is based on a design similar to a Nazi flag and was originally created by some members of the 4chan online community to represent a joke country Kekistan.

The nation is ruled by the frog-headed deity Kek, who is often represented by Pepe the Frog.

'The Kekistan flag is controversial because its design was partially derived from a Nazi-era flag; this was apparently done on purpose as a joke,' Pitcavage explained to CNN.

'Younger right-wingers coming from the 4chan subculture (both mainstream right and extreme right) often like to display the Kekistan flag at rallies and events.'

  • This thread is cogent and calm.  I am learning.  Sincere thanks to all those contributing because it is repairing some of my battered faith in human ability to talk together.  I have ears, and I want to hear.

  • If anyone has any hard evidence of Kekistan actually having been co-opted by the right wing, and not just Hilary Clintons accusation picked up by a braying mob of people no better informed than myself but politically motivated I'd like to see it.

As an introductory moment of linguistic pedantry, as being myself a gnostic Christian in principle and very much into the concrete or literal use of words to describe specifically what is the case ~ along with what also can be the case ~ without sophistry or misdirection, Trolls are in fact guardians of thresholds or boundary keepers when it comes to 'earthly' materialistic states of affairs ~ only to let the righteous and just proceed further on completion of a task or riddle, and the unrighteous and corrupt being allowed to go no further . . . even according to darker tellings . . . killing them if they were unable to demonstrate that they were kind of heart, and true of mind.

In addition, there is no Devil mentioned in the Hebrew and Greek versions of the Bible, only the Deceiver as symbolised by the serpent, and of course those serving it as are named Legion, for they are many . . .

Anyway ~ back to the evidence requested, or at least one piece of evidence, involving an article titled, 'Here's How Two Twitter Pranksters Convinced The World That Pepe The Frog Meme Is Just A Front For White Nationalism' with the most pertinent aspect of which being:

The explainer on [Hillary] Clinton’s site features a direct quote from Jared Taylor Swift, one of the two accounts Nuzzi interview for her story.

“[I]n recent months, Pepe’s been almost entirely co-opted by the white supremacists who call themselves the ‘alt-right.’ They’ve decided to take back Pepe by adding swastikas and other symbols of anti-Semitism and white supremacy,” Hillary Clinton’s explainer notes, quoting “prominent white supremacist” Swift from Nuzzi’s article: “We basically mixed Pepe in with Nazi propaganda, etc. We built that association.”

Months after flippantly giving that quote to Nuzzi, Swift is still having a good laugh about it.

“I think the most ridiculous thing is that a random guy on the internet who trolled a journalist once is now a ‘prominent white supremacist.’ I mean, the only accurate part of that is the ‘white’ part,” Swift told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “And my Italian ancestry means that even that is disputed!”

Swift created his Twitter account in November 2015. His Twitter name is a tribute to Jared Taylor, a white nationalist, alt-right leader and founder of the magazine American Renaissance. Paul Town created his account in January 2016.

So of course the 'Alt-right' (or far-right) nationalist movement could not believe their luck with these liars publicity further normalising their ideological outlook for normalised abuse, especially with the [purported] Kekistani national flag bearing a remarkable resemblance to the one depicted further below it:

Hence all the negative associations involved with the National Sociopathic* German Worker's Party ~ as was dissolved in 1945 after Germany lost the Second World War. *Please excuse my concretely descriptive paraphrasing there.

  • Very interesting. It seems that even a stoner frog, can become a symbol of hatred in these crazy days.

All I can say, is that when I got introduced to Pepe the frog, I was late to the party, and I did not pick up on the alledged Alt Right aspect so much as the stoner / non conformist aspect which was very much in evidence.

I could see there was alignment with D.T. but I was fine with that, Not my country, not my election, but if it was I'd have prefferred DJT to HRC as a preference.

I liked the idea very much of belonging to a disparate nation of rejected people of course, as it fit my own self image at the time, although that is now changing.

It's really weird to be going through a fundamental shift in your self image in your sixties I can tell you.

If anyone has any hard evidence of Kekistan actually having been co-opted by the right wing, and not just Hilary Clintons accusation picked up by a braying mob of people no better informed than myself but politically motivated I'd like to see it.

I'm trying to work out when I became interested in Kekistan and it appears to be late 2018. It might be that I missed out on all the alt right stuff, I certainly saw the accusations, of alt right, but missed the evidence. All I saw was a lot of funny people being quite sarky at one point...

Perspective and context are responsible for an awful lot of misunderstandings, add a soupcon of "agenda" and "mendacity" (I just re-read this thread) and suddenly "Sperg life" really doesn't so much fun on a Monday morning. Bah.

Pepe the frog does not represent any mockery of the evils that currently oppress anyone, but at most an escape from which ~ as is explained by the artist Mat Furie in the following Youtube video:

  • If your mind goes straight there, yes it can.

The comment was that you used a statement that is a shorthand for anti-Semitism.

For most people when you say the name Rothschild, money and power is the first thing they think of, not their ethnicity.

    See the above.

I will not respond again to any further attempts to pollute a conversation about Kekism with the concept of anti-semitism. They are VERY different things. Like Night and day.

This conversation would have been avoided if the shorthand allusion was not used.

  • Lady De Rothschild in her camp at the time

This allusion to the Rothschilds can be seen as anti-Semitic.

  • Another oppressed people. Physically ejected from a staggering number of countries over time, so much so, that racism against them has it's own special name even.

This thread is about Kekistan which is a much different proposition altogether. Although Kekistan is a persecuted nation, our persecution is of a completely different nature, and can be discussed freely and without consequence, indeed with a certain amount of good humour whereas the the topic you seek to introduce is odious in the extreme, and in my personal opinion not suitable fayre for this forum.

I'd rather this thread didn't get locked by the moderators thank you, so can I respectfully ask that we leave the semites out of it?

  • The Rothschilds may be rich and well-connected, but not necessarily powerful.

Please note that many of the claims made about the family, particular with regards to their supposed power, are anti-Semetic  (See https://www.ajc.org/translatehate/Rothschild).

  • I do have an agenda here, in that I see the whole "Kekistan" experience as a rather uniquely Autistic achievement, that has been suppressed by a few cleverly selected and well propagated lies, and I'd like to see if those lies can be exposed and overcome though a bit of simple and above all, polite and pleasant discussion.

Thanks I Sperg for the clarification, this is really helpful.

Not really sure though what makes 'Kekistan' 'uniquely Autistic' - and the method it employs - ironic posting - I'm not sure how successful they have been. I mean = they can be funny, and create a sense of bonding - but not sure if this is lastin.

  • Super powerful ally?

  • I, for one, really enjoyed that post. Thank you.

This is in "miscellaneous and chat", so is a good place to go off topic.
