When we do not understand an underlying concept well enough, we resort to protocols. I find this protocolisation so frustrating and yet see it is necessary. Constantly trying to explain concepts to teachers, family members, terapists and being faced with a "what on earth is she talking about again?" So I need to build protocols out of the concepts, small practical steps to deal with each specific case when understanding the concept makes it a general view one can use in any situation. I wish to share this frustration here because I see protocols are so much needed from both sides autistic/allistic and read you constantly have to build your own protocols. My last attempt on concept explanation was about Anxiety Exposure you prompted to me and about which I was this eye opening video from Dona Williams, clear, precise, explicit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJNkYFuiv7g so I shared it and understood why this concept is still largely ignored..
