Winds Of Change

The winds of change are blowing across the country. It's wet, the leaves are turning orange and falling, and, it's turning colder where I am. This is one of those unstoppable changes that really unsettles me to be honest. I suppose because it's change but also because it means soon it will be a lot darker and then Christmas won't be too far away either.

I do like the colour of the leaves though :)

  • The leaves are beautiful at this time of the year, but I know what you mean. It feels even more dismal when the clocks change. I try to look forward to spring as that always brings hope for me.

  • I'm the opposite. I like Autumn and Winter, I like getting the extra hour and - irrationally- resent giving it back. I like getting to work in the dark and leaving in the dark. I like a clear delineation between day and night, ideally firmly established by 5 pm. I know I'm in a minority, but there are more of us than is probably thought - we just keep quiet about it in certain company lest we are thought to be cranks! That is a beautiful photograph, thanks for sharing.

  • I prefer winter time. I'm sensitive to heat and feel better in cooler weather. Town is quieter when it's cold and it means I feel more comfortable to go out.

Where I live it usually gets cold enough for snow 'fingers crossed'

My birthday is in winter as well and I love celebrating it on my own.
