Today, I was on a day-trip to the Ulster American Folk Park; with WAVE in Omagh. I was glad to be somewhere I could take my mind away from my stress. Though I did have a headache, it was the buildup of stress from yesterday evening.
Yesterday evening, I brought my Artist Friend to an appointment with a Physio - in my local village - whose parents looked after my Granddad's Sister. Turned out that my Friend has a trapped nerve. The Physio will forward his report to my Friend's Doctor. But, as with the report he forwarded to my Doctor, it may take a while. But, at least, there's clarity.
Also, after I got home today, I called my accountant. He has the details, ready, to do the Capital Gains Tax liability for my brother and I. Everything will, hopefully, sort itself out next week. A huge weight came off my shoulders, afterwards.
This sense of relief is huge; for me. Years, upon end, of pestering solicitors, and my accountant, finally pays off. Lockdown was dominated, for me, by ongoing probate granting and searching Property Pal. My brother graduated from Uni back in June 2020, with a 2:1; just shy of a First. But he has his own life, now. We let each other be. He texted me, yesterday, saying that he had a Chiropractor appointment.
The World may go to Hell, and a Handbasket, but I can detach from the white noise of society.
