Suddenly I got fifty trillion emails with notifications of forum replies. It was horrible! I have changed my settings but I don't know why it suddenly did this.
Notifications on this site are kind of weird. I'd like to get notified if someone replies to a comment I make, but it looks like it's all or nothing.
I used to get notifications, but for absolutely no reason I can think of the NAS decided it no longer wanted to send them to me.
Email notifications can pile up so fast; it’s like my inbox is a never-ending party! I used to get overwhelmed with alerts from this forum until I found a neat trick. I set up filters in my email settings to sort out forum notifications into a dedicated folder. Now, they don’t crowd my main inbox, and I can check them whenever I want.
Adware and spam emails are a common phenomenon these days and almost every user is likely to have encountered them. In Gmail, as in other email services, it is possible to reject all mailings with ads. You can also get rid of unwanted messages by blocking the sender and transferring emails to spam. But this is a rather drastic method, which should not be abused.
