Autism Badge Do U have 1

Bowie Fan

My mum brought me an autism badge and wants me to wear it every where when I go out and I really want 2 but at school I know id get bullied and I'm not sure if people would treat me different in town as well. When I go out with mum I wear it but on my own I don't. Do u guys have 1? I like it and it describes what I'm like well but I'm bit anxious about wearing it.

  • I can totally understand why you might be cautious about wearing a badge at school but I also like the idea of being open and honest about being autistic.

    You can choose when and where you wear it and there's nothing to say you have to wear it all the time.

    Etsy and Zazzle both sell autism badges if you're not sure about the one you already have or if you want some choice.

    I like the idea of being open and honest 2 it's kinda proud as well showing how you are and I like that but I do worry about people being mean about it.

    To be fair, my Daughter bought me a really nicely designed tee shirt that says "Weaponised Autism" and when I wear it, I wear it with pride. 

    But I don't wear it very often.

    If I ever do something that people think is good & they give me public accolade THEN I'll be pushing the Autism... We need to get ourselves known to be good for more than misunderstandings and tantrums...
