Running away

Hi,

when things don’t go my sons way especially at football he has started running away from the pitch. He is 13 and his football manager is getting concerned, how do I deal with this?

also he was brown with poorly ears, reflux, throat issues, and as had grommet in the past,  now because of his autism diagnosis the school are saying it’s anxiety even though he is pain and experiencing deafness. and won’t let him come home when he is actually poorly. I’m at a lost of what to do. As they wont authorise his sickness days as they say it’s anxiety.

thanks

  • I'm shocked by the school's attitude. Even if they do just put it down anxiety, what are they doing to help him? I'd be in there having words, personally. If he's in pain, he can't be in school and your GP needs to be doing something. If he's anxious school need to be doing something to reduce that.
