This morning, I planned to run an errand for my Artist Friend; meeting up with a delivery van man, for him to follow me to his place; often, in rural areas Sat Navs don't work. However, after calling the Gallery Watchman, he passed on my mobile number to the delivery man. However, I never got a call, and the Watchman's phone was always on voice mail.
After about an hour and a half getting buck-mad, I ended up home. On the way home, I had to swerve to avoid a pedestrian with a bike - think of the old Hovis ad - whom I didn't see until the last possible second. He should have walked the other side from where the traffic drives.
But, during that time, I was listening to a Christian Radio Station. Whenever I got home, I called my Artist Friend. He said that the Delivery Man arrived at his; and everything got sorted. And the Watchman called me back; saying that he couldn't answer the phone as he was driving. Then, my old School Friend - who usually goes for walks with me - popped over for a chat. And my brother messaged me on WhatsApp; saying that he got his PPS number - from HMRC - today.
The lesson from that is the need to let go; surrender the outcome. Whenever I micromanaged, nothing happened. But surrendering achieved what I sought, and more.
