Nosebleeds

I still feel ill.

This evening at 7:30 I started a nosebleed while brushing my teeth in the bathroom, it went on and on for half an hour, blood everywhere, basin, bath, floor, clothes.  My towels are covered in blood.  I must have lost a pint.

I have no idea why it started.  But now I'm afraid to sleep in case I flood my bedding with blood.

  • A&E cauterised the blood vessels responsible.  Hopefully that's the end of this particular problem.  

    But over 4 hours of continuous bleeding was a nightmare.  I don't know how much blood I lost.

    The surreal thing was getting home by public transport.  I walked through the city centre and onto a bus with large bloodstains all over my shirt and trousers.  People just pretended that they didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

    One could collapse and die on these streets and people would just walk around you.

    That's scary, that you lost a lot of blood, and the hospital had to cauterise the blood vessel to stop the bleeding, and you were allowed to go home by yourself by taking the bus, even with blood stained clothes.

    I hope your nose is doing better. I wonder what caused the nose bleed to be so massive like that in the first place. I mean if you find the cause, hopefully the nosebleeds will stop.
