Nosebleeds

I still feel ill.

This evening at 7:30 I started a nosebleed while brushing my teeth in the bathroom, it went on and on for half an hour, blood everywhere, basin, bath, floor, clothes.  My towels are covered in blood.  I must have lost a pint.

I have no idea why it started.  But now I'm afraid to sleep in case I flood my bedding with blood.

  • Well nosebleeds happen when there's a blood vessel that bursts, and in general you apply pressure to the nose to stop the nosebleed, because you're just waiting for the blood to form a blood clot and for the blood to dry so it stops bleeding, but things like blood thinning medications can make it harder to form blood clots, so keep that in mind. And if you lose a large amount of blood, and after 20 mins the nose is still heavily bleeding, that could be considered a medical emergency.

I remember a week ago, I was sick, and so I was sneezing and blowing my nose a lot, and then I had a few massive nose bleeds, and if I so much touched my nose it'll start pouring like a faucet, which was scary, so I understand the horrors of having so much blood everywhere. I had to not disturb my nose and let it rest until it healed.

Also whenever you lose a lot of blood, eating some iron or taking an iron supplement would be helpful to the body.
