I am glad I am not alone in thinking it. I agree with you that society does generally deem this as unacceptable and puts pressure on us to interact with them. I personally am happy with the idea of interacting with the outside world when required but I seem to want it more on my own terms these days. This has been problematic for me in terms of maintaining relationships with friends particularly.

Yep I very much had a similar experience after the lockdowns ended. I was doing a degree at the time so there was that peer pressure to get back out there socialising again from those I was studying with. I had to try and explain why it wasn't straightforward with me.
I found it hard when the lockdown ended as it was the perfect reason to stay at home. Now I am getting challenges of having to make decisions about going out.
