Does Mc Donalds ever make you mysteriously unwell?

We eat (or used to) a lot of Mc Donalds food, at least once a week.

Every so often I seemed to get digestive/"vitality" issues fairly immediately after eating it.

It's taken a long time to narrow it down to McD's but I'm fairly sure now, and wondering if anyone else can report a similar experience?

I'm currently taking some time out from Mc D's to see if I have indeed identified the cause.

There have always been conspiracy stories about McD's which I've always ignored, as I like their food generally, and they seem to outlandish to be true.

I guess if ever I was looking for a bunch of keen observers, to garner a reliable second opinion, this is a good place to be asklng such a question!

  • Had a Mc'ds last Sunday and it cleared up my digestive problems temporarily , why ? do not know, but stopped Mc'ds years ago as the shakes and drinks have so much sugar and the burgers always give me bad gas the next day. Having a flare up from digestive problems for the last 2 weeks and Mc'ds has been the only thing that eased it . Did stop eating Pork as well as the cramps after eating it are not worth the pain anymore.

  • I really wouldn’t eat McDonalds. I think the last time I did was about 20 years ago!  I have been vegetarian/pescatarian since I was about 15. I don’t judge others for eating meat because I think humans are omnivores but I think it’s wise to not eat excessive amounts of meat and to only buy ethically bred meat. McDonald’s encourages people to eat too much meat and fat - it’s not healthy. Plus all the packaging waste etc.

I’d much rather choose a healthier and more ethical alternative,

  • Basically, it's a Last Chance Saloon; propagated by Naive Parents who have a doe-eyed view of all things American.

I was more of a KFC guy, but even that has been cut out from my system.

I support local Chippies/Chineses/Pizza Places. This evening, I made my own chips, peas and gravy. Soon, I'll use my own Spuds; grown from my Polytunnel.
