Feeling Misanthropic Tonight

While waiting for my sponsored walk; I wanted to direct an Estate Car trying to reverse out; but the old man driving couldn't steer for toffee. (and I thought I have issues with my steering) Then, on the way home, I was passed by a 'Raging Ron' in a white Peugeot Minivan who ended up constantly held back by the SUV in front of us; which he tailgated. I did flip the bird at him, after he passed me.

Pi$$ed off doesn't begin to describe how I feel. I try to do a good turn, and the general public treat me with contempt.

Their loss, I guess.

  • Hmm...well what gets me while driving is the lack of a wave of thanks when I let someone out so then I don't wave for the person that sits behind parked cars to let me past. This got me thinking though, maybe the people that don't wave a thanks to me are probably annoyed they didn't get a thankyou before....catch 22 ......stay sane out there, its a minefield.

  • Sometimes I'm too hyperfocused to salute in thanks, but most times I do.

I messaged a Local Councillor about the need for marshalling. The place the charity walk was for is run by an astute marketer and canvasser; she would make the perfect Spin Doctor/PR Rep. However, the main focus was using the dual-seater pedal bike they let Charles and Camilla use when they visited a fortnight ago.
