When you're covid positive on day 11

Today I am day 10 and the line that says I am positive for covid is as strong as when I first saw it. Perhaps it will have magically disappeared tomorrow. If it hasn't I can go out if I am not unwell. I don't have a high temperature to go by. I struggle to ascertain how well I am at any time. I don't read my body well. I suppose I should just go out, I only have mouth problems and energy problems so I wear a mask. Thankfully I can wear a mask.

  • Two possibilities: 1) You are still positive 2) You aren't positive but because you've recently had COVID you are still shedding the dead viral debris that the test will read as positive, even though it's dead and harmless. That can go on for a week or so after you are no longer infectious.

Apparently, you might get a different result if you test straight out of the bath or shower and make sure you wash the inside of your nostrils. Make sure the surfaces you do the test on are all squeaky clean too, as to be free of any debris you shed before you bathed.. If you are still positive, you'll still test positive. If all you are shedding is dead debris, because you recently scrubbed all that debris away, you might test negative.

If you then get a negative result, it'll be safe to go out.
