Hi, I have a 15 year old daughter who was diagnosed with ASD 18 months ago. She hasn't managed the transition from primary school to high school. She's been receiving outreach teaching for last nearly 3 years. Over the last year or so she's stopped engaging in school work. Recently she's started twitching her head and neck, flicking her fingers if she doesn't want to or can't answer a question or doesn't want to do anything. She's been through CAMHS, who were useless, apart from diagnosis, which wasn't even carried out properly due to covid restrictions. She's recently started not being able or not wanting to go places she normally would. She says she doesn't like being around people. I'm really worried about her mental health and how she's becoming and is increasingly more isolated. Has anyone had the same experience themselves or with their child/teen? Thanks alot.
