Hi everyone on the forum (l’m new here and l’ve recently have been diagnosed with Autism). Is there anybody that has experiences of being a carer and having autism? How did you find it ? ... and are there any avenues for help if you are struggling with being a carer for a family member on top of coping with your own challenges on a daily basis?

  • I was Carer for my Gran, until she passed away in 2016. She was so set in her ways, it wasn't even funny. However, I did my best. And she received a good send-off.

    There was little room for me time, however, and compulsively book flights and coach trips to Britain; I'm from Northern Ireland.
