TV Comedy

Does anyone else really enjoy watching sitcoms on TV? I don't really like drama programmes as they tend to be quite depressing and the real world can be depressing enough.
Comedies help me escape from the world and I can watch my favourite ones over and over again

Just wondered what everyone else's favourite comedies are?

At the moment I love watching

New Girl

The Office (US version)

How I Met Your Mother

Gavin and Stacey

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps

I also really identify with some comedy characters and find they really comfort me, particulary Jess from New Girl and Erin from The Office

Parents
  • I love the US Office as well as Parks and Recreation, Rick and Morty, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. As for British comedy shows, I really enjoy Black BooksSpaced, and the IT Crowd.

For me these types of shows are so easy to watch and therefore relaxing. I like to re-watch these programmes to de-stress as well.

Children
  • We also love Black Books, Spaced and the IT Crowd. Also Spaced and Motherland (well, I love Motherland - my son hates it as he says it’s depressing!)

I Love Frasier and my  children were practically raised on it C4 seemed to show it virtually every day for years.
we like Wasted too, Ghosts, Fresh Meat. My son really likes Mitchell and Webb. We thought Siblings was great too - they are the most terrible people with no conscience at all! And Alan Partridge - especially  the series where he lives in the Travel Tavern!
