Hi Ive been reading alot about the above organisation. This appears to be very costly. Is it not available on NHS? Has anyone ever used them? Please have a look at above organisation.

Hi Antrim,
Just wanted to outline where we stand around particular interventions and organisations providing specific interventions as well as provide some links that you might find useful.
Just because there has been some confusion before - we'd like to make it clear that the NAS allows for the discussion of interventions in the community but this shouldn't be seen as an endorsement or approval of those interventions.
The outcome of any approach will depend on the needs of the individual, which vary greatly, and the appropriate application of the intervention. An intervention that may help one individual may not be effective for another. It's for this reason that it's never been appropriate for us to recommend any one particular practice or therapy.
A checklist of points to consider before choosing an intervention can be found here
The organisation you mention seems to use interventions based on Applied behaviourial analysis (ABA). You may want to read our information sheet about ABA interventions to see if it helps. You may also find it helpful to look at our more general section on interventions, which offers advice on different approaches and tips on assessing possible options.
Research Autism also provides information about ABA interventions you may find helpful to read.
And as people may come across this on the web, individuals with any related business interest should refrain from using the community as a place to promote that business interest.
