The 'subscribers' number seems radiaclly different from thread to thread. Sometimes it's in triple figures, other times like this. What does it actually refer to? Presumably its not used as a synonym for members, and yet it seems unlikley that people subscribe to an individual topic as distinct from the forum as a whole. Sorry if the answer is blindingly obvious and I'm just being thick (it has been known) - hopefully I'll be forgiven if so, as I'm new and getting to grips with the layout of things here.
I know it makes little difference to the quality of experience of using the much-appreciated forum, but it's also the sort of thing that I'll find obsessively distracting over time if it doesn't start making more sense!
