Coping well!!

The one time I enjoy being Autistic, is when disaster strikes. Storm "Violent destruction" just came and threw my aluminum scaffolding into my neighbours house, wedging it precariously against his bog window...

I was able to calmly assess the situation, secure the neighbours safety by informing them of the situation and the risks that the scaffolding was currently posing, and of my plan to deal with the situation as fast as possible.

I was then able to quickly obtain the required help, and get the situation resolved nice and quickly without getting flustered. At such times, I can exert efficient and effective leadership, and people listen to what I say!

  • I get that.  I'm great at dealing with other people in crisis, just not my own lol.  I think it's because our brains see problem and go straight to logical solution mode rather than get distracted by our own or anyone else's emotion.

Well done you!  Good job for your neighbour you were there.
