Mouldy car

Just saying,. I’ve got 2 cars.  I had a meltdown and had to take a few months off work and just couldn’t afford to keep 2 on the rd. it’s been on my mothers drive a few miles away hence letting it get this sloppy.  

If the battery is actually flat, chances are it'll need replaced.  IIRC less than 6 volts means it's toast.  Best to disconnect the battery if a car isn't going to be used for a while, ideally you'd want to hook it up to a trickle charger as well.  The mould should scrub out with upholstery cleaner and elbow grease.

Having said that, I'm in the same boat lol.  Got two vans that have been sitting virtually unused for the last two years.  So that'll be a fair few quid in batteries alone.  

I have a 2015 Vauxhall Insignia. She's a bit wonky while driving, after running errands across a disused Airdrome. I'll take her to a mechanic, after Mass this afternoon, and he'll check the car out. His brother does valets, so I asked him to sort that out as well.

I drive my car too much. Every MOT fills me with anxiety. Though this car is pretty good. It was off-the-road before I bought her. But the MOT went through well enough last May. 

It will be going straight in for its MOT.  I will be careful. Thank you 

Cars don't like being neglected!!  Before you drive it - particularly any distance - you should have the engine and running gear checked over. I say that only out of concern for your safety.

I've been there! White mould on seat and fuzz on the steering wheel... such a ball ache! I get it back in May as I'm not driving due to being honest with dvla about weed smoking. Now 37 days clean and has had my first negative drugs test this morning... I dread to think how much worse will get by May... especially as it gets warmer...
