  • Hi Becky,
your son is still very young and at that age it is normal to still "get to know" your child much more than in following years.
But I found that I am actively trying to understand my sons' behavior and challenges.
Autism is so complicated and complex and to me, it is quite confusing.
For example it appears that in one person there can be hypo- and hyper-sensitivity.
I am becoming very aware of these traits.

There are so many great resources online.

There are also book recommendations everywhere. I just start reading one that grabs my attention and if I get to read the entire sample I will consider buying it. The ones I bought are mainly on girls.

    Good luck!
