In my case he needs to know what is happening down to the last detail and oftern is thinking of these would can not even imagine, he always thinks worst case which makes it very difficult.
We can take him out depending where we are going and always need to show him photos first and go through it with him. we also have a daily routine board which we update each night which helps alot.
Sensory issues can usally be helped with some creative thinking, for example ear plugs if they will use them and sunglasses.
The main thing to remember is unless they have to go out, why force them. A lot of people I know feel there children must socialise with other children, no matter what, but why. My son has been very happy these holidays and we have been building an eco house and he has been playing on mindcraft (which he is obsesed with).
School trips have always been very difficult, but luckly the school has been very helpful and understanding.
