What do you all think of Christmas?

I really dislike Christmas and this time of the year in general. I hate how busy and loud the streets and shops get. I find the lights too bright and I find buying gifts for family really stressful because half the time I don't know what to get. And then there's the music which is always played way too loud in my house and then there's Christmas sweets. Like I have to watch my weight but everyone keeps giving me sweets and if I don't want them my mum says not to be rude. And then the grandparents come over and they don't understand me. I can't wait for Christmas to be over.

  • I’m not a fan.  It was OK when I was growing up, but now it’s just my partner and me (we don’t have any children, and the people we used to spend it with are now dead and gone), so if I don’t protect myself from all the hype around it being a time for the family to be together, it can get pretty miserable.

    Gosh, I’ve made that sound pretty depressing!  I do quite like the lights…as long as they’re not flashing.  And the jingly bells they add to music to make it sound more festive go right through me!
