I have been quite lately spending my time on filling job applications. Writing cover letters always drives me insane with its futility and my lack of understanding of mambo-jumbo that has to go in it. As a result my anxiety was spiking through the roof and even pacing couldn't calm me down anymore. That is when I had an idea for a poem to express it.
My Dearest Madam/Sire
Expressing my deepest desire
I would like to inform
That I filled out the form
Tough it does not matter
If I am black white or other
or fit in your statistic
because I am autistic
I do not know how to fight
Or if I have any right
To freedom, to work or desire
My dearest Madam/Sire
Most peculiar is that expressing it managed to calm me down at least until next day when I returned to job applications. It might be worth exploring if there is potential, and if what is being spawned is any good is actually secondary.
