Pip forms just arrived

Has anyone ever claimed pip for autism?

Did you fill the form in yourself? Or get advice from citizens advice or something like that?

Just looking through the form it's quite hard to know what to put for certain questions like does your condition affect you preparing food etc. My parents always make my food but I'm not sure how I should word that.

Any thoughts or advice welcome

  • Take a look at this website, it provides examples of answers for each question and shares what you could include, like if you're oversensitive to sound that could go towards traveling being difficult because of the noise of people around you. This site was a good help to me that I didn't even need to be assessed.

  • I got a Professional to fill in the form for me. However, she's on Annual Leave this week (the curse of the Half-Term) and will be back at work a week tomorrow; just three days before my PIP assessment; over the phone.

  • Put down your worse days.

Make yourself mentally and physically as ill and incompetent as possible, without actually lying.
