Rant about bedroom tax!!!!

GRRR!!!!! i am so piddled off its unreal!! Basically we had a two bed house, was fine, we fitted nicely with myself, my husband and our two children. My husband has cronic lung desease, and couldnt manage the stairs to the toilet. And we couldnt fit a lift in.

So we contacted the housing association, and they said they could help us, but they didn't, the guy found us a two bed bungalow, but said he couldn't with all good conscience put two children in the tiny room, so he suggested we used home swapper. We went to view two homes, that didn't go through. The third came up and was fantastic, toilet on the ground floor, in an area that was accessible for my husband on his mobility scooter.

We moved in and were told we were fine and approved for the three bed property! We were told we were fine all good to go...... WHAM! 8 months in bedroom tax!!! i am still 5 k in debt from the move, ( the house was disgusting when we got here, literally covered in human waste! I had to gut everything. My husbands health still has not recovered from the move! i will be dammed if we move again! not going to happen, so we are lumped with this "fine" as we are the "feckless" poor who take more than we should. Well as long as the house of lords has £60,000 a WEEK to spend on its lunches! Anyone fancy a riot?!!!!

  • As it was a swap, the ha take no responsibility for the state its in as you walk in, the people before us were pigs, i knew it was going to be filthy, but had no idea what they were going to let us walk into, it made me ill sorting this place, would wake up in here and just sit heaving for about 10 mins, before i started work... it was a tough old time, luckily my children were at my mums house for the move and two weeks after... it was bad, but worth it for the toilet and the fact my husband was no longer trapped!

All this tax is going to do is encourage people to fill their houses, make more children, well done condemns! i actually hate this government, they should be ashamed of themselves!!!
