employability course

It was part of a course I did via the job centre a few years ago but it wasn’t teaching it as such, it was bringing awareness to it in order to combat it, so it was teaching it so people would recognise it if they ever saw it happening so they could report it and hopefully stop it in its tracks. 

Not sure why that would anger anybody unless I’m missing something - probably am - you can let me know what I’m missing ;) 

Not sure why Just felt really pointless to me ,  but then on reflection it does make sense as the course has to cover a wide age range .

Left the course on Monday due to a crap venue and disruptive behaviour ,Then signed up with my local collage for functional skills instead . 

Which functional skills are you doing?   At what level?

Last year I finally achieved an equivalent to a GCSE in English language, by doing a functional skills level 2 course.

Employability courses and employment advisors!!!!

Almost all decent jobs require both Maths and English at GCSE level C(4) or above.

I admitted to my employment advisor that I didn't pass English at school.  

She shouted back at me, " Yes! You have it!, Whenever they ask, you always have it." 

And to use my common sense, that employers don't check or ask to see certificates.

I decided to be honest and I took and passed a real English course.

For maths & English language lvl2, Maths is my biggest fear so will tackle that first .
