Hello!
My autistic daughter gets very anxious travelling by public transport, which is why we seldom use it and are reliant on our car to take her to school and back. Today we received a letter informing us that because of the low emission area extending to our part of London, we would need to pay a daily charge of £12.50 every time we drive the car.
She is on low mobility component, so is not entitled to any exemptions. Neither can we afford a newer car. Walking to school is not an option either.
If anyone knows of any alternatives for her school travel, other than having to go through daily anxiety attacks on public transport, I would appreciate your advice!
