Patterns throughout Life

Hi everyone, just wanted to see if others experience this often or not. I tend to always deconstruct everything in my mind (systems, people, events, ideas, etc.), and I tend to always end up seeing the same pattern. It's hard to describe, but it's always there, and somehow I'm obsessed with it. I usually am good at pushing it back in my mind, and focus on other things, but it keeps coming up over and over. And it frustrated me when others cannot see that "simple" pattern and apply to their own situation. Do others feel that way? Do others "see" something similar ever?

    Juniper, I appreciate your thorough response. You make a good point about hyper-sensory with emotions, as well as concepts of systems. I *THINK* I'm partway down that path myself, at least part of my brain is, and I'm just trying to let the other parts catch up! I like the idea of exploring the source. I almost think I've been doing that all my life (unconsciously). Thank you.

  • I literally started down a path of philosophy early on because of what I could pick up/sense/'see' - all seemingly imaginary systems of exchange or systems of relations. Universal Laws of Physics are helpful in this case.

    My opinion on a thing being an 'obsession': Hyper-sensory includes emotions, which is a sense in the same manner that touch or smell is. It is the response of an internal calculation. If you feel deeply impacted by these systems, hunt them down so you can properly identify them just as Einstein or Gilles Deleuze has. They are only seemingly invisible: but clearly humans are capable of creating an identity for any system based on the knowlege of how it functions. 

    If you were "obessed" with the mechanics of Maths or critiquing art, you might have been shuffled down a path toward a career in this. I say shuffle off in the direction of your obsession! You may hold a concept missing from the social sceinces or find a connexion between saving earth through fungi.

    Thanks for sharing, Aidie. I always have seen the pattern, but was better at repressing the obsession. So, I figured maybe I should try to understand it, and see if others experience anything similar. It's probably more philosophical than anything, eternal recurrence to an extent.
